Wintergreen PTAs

Thank you to EVERYONE who came out to Wintergreen Intermediate last Thursday night for Pizza Bingo and our 2nd Annual Flower Pot Auction.  While the final numbers are not yet in, we have already estimated that we brought in several hundreds of dollars more than last year!  This is great news for our teachers, as all who participated will be splitting that money to use for their classrooms.  We had a great time and want to thank Mr. Setzer for calling the Bingo numbers that night.

This Friday, March 12th is Spring Picture Day for both schools.  Uniform pants or skirts are required (no denim), but students may wear the shirt of their choice.  Girls may also wear dresses.  If you want to order a class picture, payment must be made by this Friday.

There are 2 Relay for Life events going on at Wintergreen this week.

There will be a WGP teachers vs. WGI teachers Volleyball game on Thursday night.  Doors open at 5:15pm for pizza, and the game starts at 6:30.  If you haven’t attended in year’s past, this game draws a huge turnout and is tons of fun for both students and teachers alike!  Come see your teachers in a different light and join us Thursday evening!

Hat Day for Wintergreen Primary will be Thursday, March 11th and Friday, March 12th for Wintergreen Intermediate.  Students may pay $1 for the opportunity to wear a hat to school that day.  All proceeds go directly to Relay for Life.

The PTAs of both schools would like to congratulate Mr. Dan Sutton, Head Custodian at Wintergreen Primary, for being named Pitt County’s Custodian of the Year!

Each school collects Box Tops for Education and Soup Labels for Education.  They benefit the Media Center at Wintergreen Primary, and the PE Department at Wintergreen Intermediate.  If you use products with these labels, please save them and send them in with your child.  We even invite grandparents, cousins, and friends to help out!

If you have any uniforms your child has outgrown, we would be happy to take your donation for our Uniform Shops.  You can also receive a receipt for tax purposes in the front office at both schools for this donation.  We hope to have the shops open during our March events.
